The Gift Guide for the Music Lover

We have now arrived at the time of year when people are starting to shop like maniacs to make sure they get all the right Christmas gifts for their loved ones.

We think the consumerist behaviour has taken away much of what this is really about, and this year has really given us something to think about in the way we conduct ourselves on this planet.

But at the same time there is a wonderful sentiment around this time of year, where many of us crave the warmth of our homes, the special smells wafting out the kitchen, the closeness to our loved ones and the wish to make them happy with special gifts.

In this spirit we did some research to give you a little collection of great gifts for any lover of music and guitars, that are sustainable and give long lasting joy.

You can get a guitar pick made that has the fingerprint of your favourite person on it. Your child, partner or your own, if that's what you want. We found this little gem of a handmade shop you can check out here.

A nice quirky little gift is this notebook made from eco friendly materials and great for any guitar enthusiast. The rubber bands are made like guitar strings and you can even practice your chord positions on it when you're procrastinating other work you should be doing. This great little small business has a whole section on music gifts, so be sure to check them out here.

These are lovely maps, featuring countless artists and their links to various cities in the UK, a rich source of fabulous musicians and a nice illustration. Find it here.

Nice retro home decor for the music lover right here. A vinyl record clock that can be personalised with a song title or message of your choice. A really cool gift we thought and you can get it here.

A gift that you can experience together with a friend, partner, parent or child. If you are a fan of all things music, you are guaranteed to remember this one for years. A visit to the ultimate music experience exhibition. You'll see the evolution of British music, an exhibition of Gibson guitars and playing with drum kits and keyboards among other things.

What would a Guitarwaze gift guide be without showing off the gift card option we are offering. You can choose from different subscriptions and give the gift of learning how to play the guitar on the most innovative online learning platform out there. Check out the subscription packages here.

This year has given us many things to think about besides how we conduct ourselves as humans inhabiting the earth. It has also given us a new sense of appreciation for many things we took for granted. Being able to be with our families and friends is top of the list. Holidays of different faiths have gone by this year, with families not being able to get together and Christmas is only one of them. But this is the end of a year of humanity being profoundly shaken and so at Guitarwaze we encourage everyone to use this time to truly become silent and reflect.
